Congrats to Citadel business professor and Center for Women
Board Member, Dorothy Perrin Moore, on receiving the 2003 Women
in Business Advocate Award given by the U.S. Small Business
Administration. The SBA South Carolina District Office will
honor all Palmetto State SBA award winners June 12 in Greenville.
John
Clarkin of the University of South Carolina Small Business
Development
Center
introduced Dr. Moore during a presentation
at the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce on April 23, 2003. “She
has long been a champion of women entrepreneurs, illuminating
issues faced by women in organizations and encouraging business
ownership opportunities,” Clarkin notes.
Moore,
distinguished professor of entrepreneurship at The Citadel,
is an award-winning
author whose books—Women Entrepreneurs:
Moving Beyond the Glass Ceiling and Careerpreneurs—have
promoted women in the business world.
Says
Moore: “I’m
just a messenger for women entrepreneurs. They let me tell
their stories.”
