The
Center for Women is getting ready for the Entrepreneurial
Woman Series. From a new support group to a returning creative
writing workshop, this week's events run the gamut.
"In 2003, more than 250 local women entrepreneurs participated
in this popular series for women who are starting or running
their own businesses," says Jennet Robinson Alterman, executive
director of the Center for Women.
Also
returning is Rosemary Daniell, who leads a creative writing
workshop
on
a quarterly basis at the center. "Author of
'Fatal Flowers,' 'Sleeping with Soldiers' and 'The Woman Who
Spilled Words All Over Herself,' Rosemary has developed a wonderful
creative approach to writing, which she calls Zona Rosa, and
she has converts all over the world," says Alterman.
In response to a Brown Bag Lunch Series at Noon on infertility
held last summer, the center has launched an infertility support
group, which will be held the fourth Monday of each month. Participants
may share their experiences with others and a different topic
will be discussed each meeting.
