In 2015, the Center for Women published Charting the Course for Change, a report that examines the state of equality for women in South Carolina. Today, much of the troubling data presented in the report remains unchanged or at best, slightly improved. Our state continues to lag significantly behind the national average in areas such as women in leadership with only 13.5% representation of women in our state legislature compared to a national average of 24%.
While Center for Women works to change these statistics through programming such as Pathway to Politics, we are evolving as an organization and expanding our impact. We continue to deliver robust programs in support of Leadership & Development, Financial Management & Entrepreneurship and Awareness & Advocacy, and with limited capacity we are leveraging our financial resources more strategically than ever.
That is why we invite you to join our Annual Giving Circle to benefit the Center for Women’s Annual Fund.
The Annual Giving Circle benefits at $50 or more/year are:
– access to free monthly Connect the Dots lunchtime presentations (formerly known as Brown Bag Lunches)
– discounts to C4W special events
– recognition as an annual donor
